Light Detection and Ranging corresponds to a technology which enables to estimate the distance between one laser emitter and an object.
The LiDAR sensors have undergone grate progress recently due to their application in autonomous vehicles. It is due to this that we can now see LiDAR sensors in solid state (with no moving parts) having high resistance against vibration and well protected against water and dust.
Maquintel has used LiDAR technology from its beginning to conduct mappings of 3D hard-to-reach areas. We also use 3D SLAM mapping algorithms helping us build 3D maps from moving vehicles.
